Energy & Infrastructure
Infrastructure that keeps systems operable.
Battery energy storage sits here as grid infrastructure: a way to stabilize power systems and integrate renewables. It is not the brand.
The Energy Infrastructure lockup is used in this activity area. Across the rest of the site, Deep Current remains a broader investment and infrastructure platform.
Featured focus
Storage as a live infrastructure focus.
One of Deep Current’s live energy-infrastructure focuses is grid-scale battery storage in Lithuania: flexibility for the power system as renewables and interconnection reshape how the grid must operate. We approach it as long-lived infrastructure — location, access, regulation, offtake and capital — not as a branded battery product.
Energy and infrastructure remains one of Deep Current’s core activity areas — not the whole of the company. Detailed project materials are available under NDA / private briefing. Write to info@deepcurrent.lt.

Battery energy storage as infrastructure
Battery energy storage systems (BESS) absorb, hold and release electricity so grids can stay stable as more variable renewable generation comes online. They sit beside substations, interconnectors, generation and industrial offtake — part of the same system, not a consumer product and not a logo.
This platform is not a battery brand. Storage is one important activity inside a broader investment and infrastructure mandate.
Grid stability
Storage is a flexibility resource. It helps balance supply and demand across minutes and hours, which is what modern grids require as the generation mix changes.
Renewable integration
Wind and solar produce when the resource is there. Storage is one of the tools that makes that production usable when the system actually needs it.
Critical infrastructure
We treat storage, networks and generation as infrastructure with operating lives, counterparties and regulation — not as a fashion in energy technology.

Baltic context
Illustrative context, not a project claim. Lithuania and the wider Baltic region are shifting toward greater renewable generation, stronger interconnection and higher expectations of security of supply. Storage and grid infrastructure are among the tools that make that shift operable. Deep Current does not publish capacity figures or named project claims on this site.
How we underwrite
What we check before we move.
Illustrative underwriting lens for energy-infrastructure work — not a public claim about any single asset.
Location
Site suitability, land control and physical constraints.
Interconnection
Grid access, capacity and delivery timeline.
Regulation
Permitting path, market rules and compliance.
Offtake
Counterparties, revenue design and contract durability.
Capital structure
How the asset is funded and who bears which risks.
Operating life
Design life, opex discipline and residual value.
